For some time, the Technion International School has been offering English-language undergraduate programs in Water and Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Civil Engineering and an English-language graduate program in Environmental Engineering. This year, Technion is broadening its educational programs in English and has created a freshman’s year in Russian.
Technion freshman studies in Russian
Twenty years after the transformation of the Soviet block and the massive influx of skills, ingenuity and expertise from Eastern Europe, Technion initiates a special program in the Russian language. The Technion is launching a unique program in September 2013 in the Russian language. The goal is to locate and bring outstanding high school students from the former Soviet Union to study in Israel.
M.E. in Systems Engineering
Israel is known as one of the most innovative countries in the world with unmatched achievements in the fields of technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and development. In proportion to the population, Israel has the largest number of startup companies, and in absolute terms, Israel has the largest number of startups than any other country (except for the US). This concentration of high tech and startups is the highest in the world outside the Silicon Valley. Also home to the largest number of NASDAQ listed companies outside North America, it is ranked second in VC funds worldwide. With almost 50% of the population holding advanced degrees, and the highest per capita production of scientific papers (109 per 10,000 people) and patents filed, it is no wonder that Israel is also known as one of the most educated and entrepreneurial countries in the world.
The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology has opened an academic program awarding a non-thesis M.E degree in Systems Engineering, based on the industry requirements of engineers. The Systems Engineering program at the Technion aims to provide experienced engineers with the necessary knowledge and practice to perform the required functions in the industry. The curriculum was developed interactively between the industry and academia.
